Donations, Gifts, and Volunteers

It all comes down to love and money. We love Lowestoft and we want to show off our great town and it's unique spirit and heritage, but that takes a bit of coin to make that happen. The Vessels Festival is committed to have have many free events, shows, and displays as possible so that everyone of can come and enjoy the day. A few events and shows will have small fees to the public to help make them possible.

Most events will be free to all.

To make it possible for volunteer groups to come and perform and display for the public, we will apply for grants, corporate sponsorships, and public donations. This generous help from you and others will pay for specialists, insurance, supplies, security, marquees, electricity and all of the other expenses that come with putting on a huge production like a festival.

Any money that is left over after this year's Vessels Festival will go towards making next year bigger and better and to build a reserve to cover shortfalls if we have a bad weather year.

We won't be able to do it without help from people like you.

Do you want to volunteer?

We need people with good organisational abilities. We need specialists in everything from stage management to catering.

When the Festival starts, we'll need stewards, runners and general help of all types. We need people with imagination and energy to put on displays, create art, and entertain.
